Join us to explore mass timber enclosures
RDH Building Science invites you to join our team for a discussion on successful mass timber building enclosure design and risk mitigation. Led by RDH’s building enclosure specialists and guests from the industry, together we’ll explore how best to design and construct mass timber enclosures to mitigate both short- and long-term risks.
This full-day event is an opportunity for architects, designers, contractors, and developers to strengthen their understanding of mass timber enclosure design practices and hone their understanding of how key decisions impact the overall enclosure and its ability to provide long-term protection for the structure and its occupants.

Learn through a number of diverse topics
The program will explore a diverse range of topics that will allow attendees to gain knowledge that they can apply to their own projects. Build your understanding of mass timber enclosures through a number of engaging presentations designed to provide you with insights and key takeaways.
All day access to industry specialists
Throughout the day, attendees will have access to industry specialists in mass timber enclosure design, fire engineering, construction sequencing and erection, property development, and architectural design. Attendees can chat with these specialists during the day’s numerous networking segments or have questions answered during the cocktail hour panel discussion.
Mass Timber Enclosure Guide
All attendees will leave the Symposium with two mass timber enclosure illustrated design and construction best practice guides published by RDH Building Science. These guides will include information, illustrations, details, and reference tables discussed throughout the seminar’s sessions.
Additional copies of each guide will be available for purchase after the event.
Attendees who spend the day at the Symposium are eligible to approved for 6 LU|HSW AIA CES credits.
Explore design, manage risk
As the design and construction industry continues to search for more sustainable and cost-efficient methods of construction, mass timber has presented itself both as a viable and desirable option. With this new wave of design and construction comes challenges not faced by more conventional building systems and enclosure products. Specialists speaking at the symposium will explore and discuss a number of topics relevant to the design and construction of mass timber enclosures in North America, focusing on opportunities to manage risk and increase the long-term durability of the mass timber enclosure.
Why RDH Building Science?
