As an RDH Site Foreman, your primary role will be to assist in overseeing the construction of building enclosure renewal projects throughout the region. Working closely with our Site Superintendent and Construction Project Management team, you will oversee site-based activities on a day-to-day basis and ensure implementation of the project according to RDH’s high standards of professionalism.



  • Work with RDH’s design team as required to review building enclosure details for constructability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist superintendent in creating schedules and preparing the site for start of construction.


  • Assist the superintendent on multiple sites in coordinating site activities and provide general direction to trade contractors.
  • Maintain on-site documentation, including site instructions, contract changes, safety records and daily job-site logs.
  • Ensure schedule is adhered to.
  • Ensure site is operating safely.
  • Ensure contractors are completing their scopes of work as per the project manual and to the highest standard.
  • Work closely with the technical team to implement design and design changes.
  • Provide first aid cover as required.
  • Ensure site is secure at end of workday.


  • 5-10 years construction-related experience
  • Experience with renovations of residential or commercial projects would be an asset
  • Experience as a skilled tradesperson or site manager would be an asset
  • OFA Level 2 First Aid Attendant certification, or willingness/ability to complete
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or similar would be an asset


  • Ability to conceptualize details and anticipate constructability issues
  • Effectively communicate with trade contractors, building occupants, and technical/design team
  • Willingness to learn and progress into a full-time Site Superintendent role
  • Highly motivated and works well independently, but is also team-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and commitment to well-constructed projects
  • Excellent planning and scheduling skills
