RDH was engaged by the Seattle Housing Authority to provide Building Enclosure Consulting for a comprehensive rehabilitation of the occupied building. The project was designed to extend the property’s service life and improve the building’s comfort, durability, and accessibility for residents.
The work included a complete strip and re-cladding of the building exterior, including the addition of continuous exterior insulation, durable new siding and finishes, and replacement of all windows to improve energy efficiency and interior comfort. Additional upgrades included new deck coatings, exterior paint, and a new elevator to improve accessibility for residents.
