RDH Scholarship

Funding & Mentorship

• $2,000 per year – renewable based on annual progress and an approved work plan
• Professional mentorship – direct access to RDH building science experts for ongoing support, resources, and career guidance
• Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled full‑time in a master’s or doctoral program at an accredited post‑secondary institution in Canada or the U.S.
• Be conducting research in building science or related fields, such as engineering, architecture, energy performance, sustainability, or building enclosure design
• Be working on research topics that align with or contribute to RDH’s core practice areas

Application Instructions

Submit the following materials to scholarship@rdh.com by the application deadline:

1. Cover letter
2. Resume
3. Research Summary:
   • Title: Research topic title
   • Project Description: Overview of your research
   • Contribution to Building Science: How your work advances the field
   • Contribution to Design & Construction: Relevance to industry practice
   • Work Plan: Timeline and key milestones
   • Other Funding: Identify other funding or support
   • Additional Information: Any other relevant details
   • Advisor Contact Information

Important Dates

Applications open: May 1 (annually)

Submission deadline: June 1 at 5:00 PM PST
