Dillon House is a three-story office building at Harvard Business School that houses the MBA Admissions office. Built in 1965, the structure has seen minimal updates since its original construction.

With the introduction of Massachusetts’ new energy stretch code, building owners are pursuing more ambitious energy targets. Passive House offers a clear pathway to meet and exceed these new requirements.

RDH conducted an EnerPHit Feasibility Study for Dillon House, exploring retrofit options that align with the Passive House Institute’s certification program while preserving the building’s historic character. The study outlines multiple viable paths to achieve EnerPHit certification and positions the project as a model for similar retrofits across campus.
