Located in Iqaluit, NU, the building will serve as a national gathering place, museum, and archive rooted in Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles. RDH Building Science is engaged as the enclosure consultant, responsible for developing a robust enclosure design that responds to the extreme Arctic environment and supports long-term durability, energy performance, and cultural expression.
The enclosure design will integrate RDH’s northern building science expertise with cultural and architectural objectives, supporting the project’s vision through technical leadership. We are currently reviewing curtain wall and structural glazing options to ensure compatibility with constructability constraints, long-term resilience, and visual intent. The final enclosure strategy will support a durable, efficient building that is well-suited to its climate and mission.
