Mini Mart City Park is the adaptive reuse of a 1920s gas station transformed into an art venue, community space, and public park.

The project demonstrates a potential model for repurposing underutilized and contaminated former fuel stations as communities shift toward battery electric vehicles and away from fossil fuels.

RDH provided building enclosure consulting services throughout the design and construction phases. The Seattle team conducted a comprehensive review of the architectural drawings and advised on the selection of appropriate enclosure systems and materials. RDH’s input supported the design team at GO’C in achieving their architectural intent while addressing long-term performance considerations such as moisture control, air tightness, and durability. The project’s detailing focused on extending the life of the structure through enclosure strategies suited to the site’s conditions and adaptive reuse goals.
