The Seattle Housing Authority engaged RDH to lead a comprehensive rehabilitation of the building enclosure to extend the property’s service life and improve overall building performance. The existing stucco exterior was removed and replaced with a new weather barrier and cementitious siding system with a protective coating. All existing windows and doors were removed and replaced, the existing roof was replaced, and the rooftop make-up air unit was upgraded.
The completed rehabilitation improved the building’s durability, thermal performance, and comfort for residents while reducing long-term maintenance needs. RDH coordinated closely with SHA and the construction team to complete the work efficiently and with minimal disruption to occupied units throughout construction.
