The development provides permanent supportive housing and on-site services designed to promote housing stability and resident well-being. The project received support from the San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund, which helps advance affordable housing development throughout the city. Developed through a collaborative design-build approach, the all-electric building achieved GreenPoint Rated Platinum certification in recognition of its high level of sustainable residential design and construction.
RDH provided building enclosure design assist services from schematic design through construction, supporting the project team with basis-of-design recommendations, enclosure detailing, and waterproofing strategies for the building enclosure systems. Our scope included below-grade waterproofing, wall assemblies, glazing systems, roofing, and bay window roofing, with a focus on water management, air leakage control, vapor diffusion, and thermal continuity.
Throughout design and construction, RDH collaborated with the project team to review enclosure assemblies, develop waterproofing strategies, and provide recommendations related to detailing, material selection, mock-ups, and testing. RDH also supported enclosure quality assurance through construction administration services, including submittal reviews, enclosure-related RFI responses, field observations, and review of critical enclosure installations. This collaborative approach allowed enclosure considerations to be evaluated at key project milestones, from early design development through field installation.
